Northwest of Georgetown at Mount Thompson are the Three Sisters Rocks. Legend has it that three girls were so distraught after discovering that they had fallen in love with the same British sailor that they walked out to sea upon his departure, drowned, and magically turned into the rocks. Despite the grim 'backstory', there is nice beach trekking and several fun beach restaurants in the area. Our favourite is Big D's.
